About Us.
Rob Marsden founded MarsdenGray in 2013, to draw together his unique blend of technical and practical experience as a Mining Engineer and provide clients with clear, robust insights which reflect all categories of risks in the evaluation of mining projects.
Over 25 years Rob gained experience working in Aluminium, Copper, Iron Ore, Coal, Industrial Minerals and Diamonds, across South Africa, Australia, France, the United States and the United Kingdom.
During an 18-year career with Rio Tinto he held several operational roles from Shift Supervision to Regional Management, latterly working in the Business Evaluation Department at Rio Tinto’s HQ in London.
Rob is a Member of IOM3 and is a Fellow of the Geological Society in London, gained a BEng degree in Mining Engineering from the Camborne School of Mines and has attended numerous business courses, including a three-month intensive program at IMD in Switzerland.
